ϲͼ to hold Uϲͼ presidential search listening tours

This article was updated to reflect the May 8 virtual town hall.

The ϲͼ Board of Regents will facilitate a series of listening tours before graduation to solicit feedback from a broad array of campus constituencies, organizations and groups on the characteristics and qualities of the next president of the University of ϲͼ.

The listening tour will dedicate two full days – May 1 and May 8 – for regents and members of the Uϲͼ Presidential Search Advisory Committee to gather feedback from the campus community and culminate with a town hall for public feedback both evenings.

“We are moving purposefully and carefully on this search and want to ensure the campus community has ample time to provide feedback and input before graduation and summer break,” said ϲͼ Chair Cecilia Mata. “The board is deeply committed to a search process that reinvigorates the university and brings people together, with the goal of finding the best possible leader for the future. We invite students, faculty, staff and members of the public to attend the tour and public forum.”

ϲͼ is also sending out a campus wide survey with support from the Uϲͼ on Monday. Students, faculty, staff and alumni can be on the lookout for that survey in their inbox next week.

ϲͼ is working to finalize location details and times. As announced by Chair Mata during the Town Hall Wednesday, below is a list of organizations that will be invited. The board is open to having additional meetings to ensure all constituencies have a voice in the search.
