“The ���ϲ�ͼ�� Board of Regents appreciates Governor Hobbs’ executive budget, which proposes key investments in our public university system. This plan will help the universities' work toward affordability, workforce development and economic opportunity.

“In particular, Governor Hobbs proposes a meaningful expansion of the ���ϲ�ͼ�� Promise Scholarship, a program that covers all tuition and fees for thousands of low-income ���ϲ�ͼ��-resident students to attend ���ϲ�ͼ�� State University, Northern ���ϲ�ͼ�� University and the University of ���ϲ�ͼ��. The governor’s planned investment in the ���ϲ�ͼ�� Teachers Academy will help train the next generation of educators and combat the teacher shortage affecting too many K-12 schools across our state. Finally, the executive budget includes support for the New Economy Initiative, which is critical to boost workforce development in fast-growing sectors such as health care, engineering, aerospace and more.
