Statement from ÁùºÏ²Êͼ¿â Chair regarding SCOTUS affirmative action ruling

Below is a statement from ÁùºÏ²Êͼ¿â Board of Regents Chair Lyndel Manson in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. President & Fellows of Harvard and Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. University of North Carolina.

"The admission standards set by the ÁùºÏ²Êͼ¿â Board of Regents for ÁùºÏ²Êͼ¿â’s public universities are based solely on academic performance. The board is proud that each of ÁùºÏ²Êͼ¿â’s public universities are Hispanic Serving Institutions and student enrollment continues to grow in diversity. We are reviewing the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court but do not anticipate any impact at our universities."
